6 Best Beach Hairstyles for Black women

If you are wearing a lace frontal, a closure, or a leave out hairstyle at the beach… you are not a serious person. You will not be able to fully enjoy your beach trip and your suit case is be 1/2 way filled with hair products instead of bikinis. While going natural is always an option is honestly even harder to maintain than the wig for my 4c girls. So I’m saying this from experience so here are 6 different style options based on how long you will be traveling!

Beach Hairstyles for Black Women Traveling 1-2 Weeks

Fulani Braids & Jumbo Knotless

Positives:

  1. You can move in and out of the water quickly.
  2. It takes no time to get ready and it pre styled.
  3. Does well against humidity in tropical environments

Negatives:

  1. The style will appear old after 1-2 weeks of being in water and it is very hard to re-fresh this style unless you are a braider.

Beach Hairstyles for Black Women Traveling 3 – 5 Weeks

medium knotless & passion twists

Positives:

  1. Versatile. Traveling somewhere tropical for more than 2 weeks you are gonna wanna try different hairstyles. Up, down, side part etc.
  2. Easy to refresh. You can back a little extra hair to redo the perimeter if needed, but over all its an incredibly easy process.

Negatives:

  1. You have to bring along extra hair.
  2. It takes a while to re-do if you are unexperienced.

Beach Hairstyles for Black Women Traveling 6 or more Weeks

Faux locs & human hair goddess locs

Positives:

  1. They still look good when they are grown out so they do really well for long term travel.
  2. The human hair wont tangle and rarely frizz at the beach
  3. They are extremely versatile and you will not have to bring extra product along.

Negatives:

  1. The only negative is that the take down process is literally atrocious. I think its worth it though if you use the right method.
