Ft. Rolling Loud 2021
The first thing I’m going to say is I haveeee to go back. I didn’t get nearly enough time to enjoy the city as much as I wanted to so there will definitely be a part two. This trip was definitely on the brief side and much more budget friendly than my other escapades.
We flew in on a Thursday night and left first thing Monday morning. So we truly only spent three full days there.

Day One
Day one was intense to say the least. We saw City Girls, Ski Mask, Bobby Shmurda, Play Boi Carti, Lil Baby, A$AP Rocky, and 21 Savage. Play Boi Carti was over an hour late; he threw everything off schedule. I thought my body would have become use to the stress and fatigue of festivals because I’ve done this before, but it turns out I’m just getting old. When I tell y’all I felt like it was the end of the road for me. I thought I was about to be a goner. My hydro pack was dwindling and my stomach started to devour itself. My ears began to ring as I stood directly in front of the speaker meant to reach every ear in a crowd of 70,000. I really really wanted to make it, but the heat was unbearable. The pressure was sickening. I ended up pushing past hundreds of people to make my way to the back of the crowd. As I took in the first breath of fresh air I’ve had in hours, I hear A$AP begin his set. RIP. On the bright side, he hasn’t released new music in forever so I went over to 21 Savage’s stage and sang along to the music that made me feel like I could run the block back in 2016.
Day 2
I alone counted 15 people that passed out and has to be carried away. This day was for sure the hardest; my body was still in shambles from the day before. Even though the day was hard I stuck it out because all of the performances were so good. Sofaygo, Kaash Paige, Don Toliver, Kodak, Roddy, Young Thug, then Travis Scott. All basically back to back. My favorite was definitely Roddy. It was leading up to his performance and it was so hot and cramped. It was getting so hard to enjoy, but then as Roddy comes out, by the grace of God, it begins to rain. It was a movie moment. You could sense the tension of the crowd ease. Everyone experiencing the sweet relief. As the rain pours down upon us the show commences and the feeling of collective euphoria blankets over the masses. Before I knew it, the moment ended and day two had come to an end. We ended up getting back to our hotel at 3AM and my legs were so sore. My partner and I reeked by the end of the night; we were so relived to go to bed.
Day 3
Nothing really special happened this day. We wandered Ocean Drive and got a taste of Miami Beach. The water was beautiful. The festival ended with Post Malone and his blended discography. Rage and intensity met calm and serene at times. His informality with the crowd, brought about laughs and feeling of closure to the best weekend most of us have had in a very long time.

In conclusion, it was a weekend to remember. Now, as you watch this video please enjoy my 3rd grade level editing skills as well as my free music downloaded on a very janky website. Bear with me, the videos will get better.
