… of YOUR story.
Take control of your life.
You and your future need to be on your mind more than anyone else. Liberating yourself from the toxicity that social media can perpetuate is an entirely difficult task. In order to start being the main character of your book you are going to have to be madly in love with yourself and your infinite potential. Read my last blog post on rebuilding your confidence if you need some help getting on the right track.
From insecure to inspired
Redirect your social media usage. People put their best, kind of fake, most aesthetically pleasing foot forward on Instagram. It’s not real and being on it for too long a day will have you over analyzing and criticizing every aspect of your being. Tik Tok can do the same, but it is arguably worse because it will steal your time away from you. It’s easy to mindlessly scroll for hours and loose track of your organization. Instead use Pinterest. Find an aesthetic that resonates with you and build on it. Create a travel board and plan a vacation. Use the time you would’ve spent wishing for your ideal life to manifest it. Move away from comparative social media and replace it with thought provoking, action inspiring content.
Be obsessed with yourself
Accept yourself for who you are and dedicate yourself to getting to the next level. You are capable, you are intelligent, you are loved. Above all, you are worthy. You are worthy of all that you are. You are worth putting effort into. Your body is worth keeping in shape, your soul is worth nurturing, your mind is worth enriching. Honestly, the issue is we look at taking care of ourselves as a task when it’s in actuality privilege. Investing in yourself is the key to becoming the main character.
You are exactly who you think you are.
Don’t sell yourself short, but definitely do not over sell yourself. Give yourself credit, but only where its due. Transitioning into being the main character means being fully transparent with yourself. Girl, if you don’t care about your physical health, you procrastinate your responsibilities, you are careless with your money, and you let people run all over you… you are in no position to be a role model. You still have value, you still have worth, and you are still loved, but you need to work on yourself. I by no means am perfect, but I’m self aware and I give myself credit for the work I put in to bettering myself.
Reinvent yourself.
